One out of two children die before the age of 5 from water born diseases.
Children carried a 40 pound jugs of water walking 30 minutes each way twice a day to get their family's supply of water.      
700 children could not go to school due to not having a pen or a notebook!
Wekin Village Elementary School had 2761 students, with six holes in the ground for toilets, no doors, privacy or water.
Wekin Village High School has 800 students, no water and no toilets.
There were fewer than 100 reference texts available for all grade levels, and the town.
There were no microscopes available.
The chemicals in the science lab were from the 1970's.

Over 12,000 people are drinking clean water from wells.
There have been several 12 stool latrines installed in the town, along with several other latrines just outside the city.
Two slaughter houses have been built.
Offered free medical care through mission trips, midwife services and help for minor injuries.
The schools have received equipment for their science lab, and art department, and many books for a library.
There are now desks and chairs in the classrooms.
School supplies like pens, notebooks, reference books and supplies for the deaf/blind have been received.
Goal met for "Books for Africa" (20,000 books donated).
Two diabetic children have received full sponsorship.
Over 2,000 people have received free medical care and heard the Gospel during recent Medical Missions.
Partnered with UW Sports, Church Planters and 30 volunteers in sports ministry outreach.
Partnered with EvaSUE to expand God's kingdom through evangelism, discipleship and missions.
Today a total of 1253 people have accepted the Lord as their personal savior.
We have 13 Church Planters/Evangelists working in the Gondar region.
